Beginning today, diabetes patients in New Jersey have a new option for treatment. "We're opening our Center for Diabetes & Endocrinology-Phillipsburg. We'll be able to start taking patients there right away," says St. Luke's University Health Network Chief of Endocrinology Dr. Bankim Bhatt. He says the new office will be at the Hillcrest Plaza, about a half-mile from St. Luke's Warren Campus.

There's another alleged sex tape of singer R. Kelly with a minor. Attorney Gloria Allred is representing a Pennsylvania man who came forward with a tape and turned it over to law enforcement. Allred says the tapes Gary Dennis found are evidence of not only child sexual abuse, but also child pornography. "No child can legally consent to sexual abuse and any adult who sexually abuse a child and records the abuse is guilty of a number of crimes," Allred says. Dennis claims to have no ties to the singer and says he found the tape while going through a box of his old VHS tapes. He says the tape shows a man believed to be Kelly engaging in sex acts with what he perceived to be several underage girls.

People traveling through the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area can expect road closures over the coming weeks as native amphibians will need some breeding room. River Road will be closed on several evenings over the next few weeks as salamanders, newts, toads and frogs are getting ready to enter their mating season. Closures are most likely to occur on rainy nights in Middle Smithfield Township between park headquarters and Hialeah Picnic Area from 4pm to 6:30am when temperatures are in the 50-degree range. The closure helps make sure the critters can hop and crawl to each other when conditions and the mood is right.

Gas prices are once again on the rise across New Jersey. AAA is reporting that a gallon of regular gas on average is now a fraction more than $2.51, a jump of about a penny from Saturday and about a nickel from a week ago. However, gas was almost 20 cents a gallon cheaper only a month ago.
