Bethlehem police aren't saying much yet after responding to a stabbing Sunday night. Officers were called to the 2000 block of Stefko Boulevard around 8:30 Sunday night and found one person stabbed. That person was taken to the hospital. Their condition is not known. Police were seen taking a man away in handcuffs, but they're not saying whether he was arrested for this specific crime.
State police are looking for a man who tried to snatch a woman's purse near a retail store. It happened on January 26 shortly before 3 p.m. outside the Kohl's store located on Hamilton Boulevard. Police say the suspect attempted to grab the victim's purse while she was in the parking lot walking to her car. A struggle ensued and the victim fell on the ground while holding on to the purse. He then fled the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The suspect is described as being a white male, dressed in a gray jacket, black pants and white shoes.
Police responded to a neighborhood in Lehigh County Sunday night, but have not yet said why they were there. Officers blocked off an area near Sixth and Chapel streets in North Catasauqua. Authorities have not yet said what happened or if any arrests were made.
State police say the owner of a now-closed dairy creamery in Chambersburg has defrauded at least 400 people. 68-year-old Philip Riehl, former owner of the now-bankrupt Tricking Springs Creamery, is charged with conspiracy, securities fraud and wire fraud. Prosecutors say Riehl diverted nearly $60 million in investments to the business, much of which came from members of the Mennonite and Amish communities. If convicted, Riehl could serve up to 45 years in prison.
The Hershey Company has made the world's largest chocolate nut bar. At Hershey's Chocolate World, the candy maker unveiled the world-record Reese's Take 5 bar. It is nine-feet long, five-and-a-half-feet wide and weighs about three tons. Hershey's managed to break the record set by Mars Wrigley just two weeks ago with their Snickers bar.
Former Eagles head coach Andy Reid almost certainly guaranteed himself a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame by winning Super Bowl 54 last night in Miami. Reid says he owes his first Super Bowl crown to his players. "I told them that I'd coach another 20 years if I could have that group right there. They're a beautiful bunch, resilient, tough, tough-minded, as you saw tonight. I'm so proud of them," Reid said. Reid's Chiefs scored three fourth quarter touchdowns to beat the 49ers 31-20. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes threw two touchdowns and ran for another to win the game's MVP honors.
