Desperately needed rain has finally made its way here and Accu-Weather's Joe Lundberg says we could end up getting quite a bit. "We're going to get a couple showers and thunderstorms. Any one of these could produce downpours. This is the much-needed rain that we have been looking for, begging for, praying for, for the last several weeks," Lundberg says. By the time we dry out, Lundberg thinks we could end up picking up more than an inch of rain.

Pennsylvania is now on the list of states affected by an E. Coli outbreak. The CDC is reporting 37 cases have been reported across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and now Pennsylvania. A local nonprofit is working to keep kids in the classroom this school year. Communities in Schools of Pennsylvania is a group working with eleven school districts to remove outside barriers that prevent kids from attending school regularly. Last year, the nonprofit worked with more than 11,000 students and organizers hope to impact even more in 2022-23.

After letting three leads slip away Sunday afternoon and losing 10-9 to the New York Mets, Phillies manager Rob Thomson says he's confident his team will shake off the difficult loss. "All year we've really bounced back from tough losses, so I'm expecting the same thing. We've just gotta come out and get after Cincinnati," Thomson says. The loss leaves the Phillies one-and-a-half games ahead of Milwaukee for the final NL Wildcard spot.
