The Upper Mount Bethel Township Board of Supervisors has given the green light for a developer to construct a huge building along Route 611. The 3-2 vote will allow developer Lou Pektor to consolidate three buildings into one, 1.5-million-square-foot building as part of his River Pointe Logistics project. It's part of the company's plans for a 12-building industrial park to be built on almost 800 acres of land on the eastern side of Upper Mount Bethel Township.

Police in Easton are investigating a stabbing. Police were called to the 1300 block of Liberty Street around 10 o'clock Monday night for reports of a stabbing. Police say a man suffered multiple injuries and is being treated at a local hospital for what are described as non-life threatening injuries. There are no reports of any arrests.

The Lehigh County Coroner's Office says it was an 18-year-old Allentown woman who was shot to death in the city last Monday. Sian Cartagena was shot at a home on West Green Street just after 5:30 on the morning of October 2. She died two days later at the hospital. Her killing was the 16th in Allentown this year.

Nearly two weeks after being involved in a crash in Upper Milford Township, a 38-year-old man has died from his injuries. The Lehigh County Coroner's Office says Jeremy Kiefer, of Upper Milford Township died late Saturday night at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Kiefer was driving a vehicle that was involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer on Route 663 near Kumry Road on September 25th. Police are still investigating circumstances that led to the crash.

There are three injuries reported after an early Monday morning fire in Bethlehem Township. Two residents and a firefighter were all hurt after a fire broke out in a home on Tiffany Drive just before 4 o'clock Monday morning. The firefighter injured is a 28-year-old Nancy Run firefighter with 11 years of service. They were treated at a local hospital for burns and released. One homeowner suffered burns and the second had respiratory distress. Both were taken to the hospital. There's no word yet on what may have caused the fire.

U.S. Senator John Fetterman is expected to join the picket line with striking workers at the Mack Trucks' plant in Lower Macungie today. UAW workers walked off the job at 7am Monday after voting down a tentative agreement with the company. Fetterman, who previously walked the picket line with other UAW strikers elsewhere, will also visit the local UAW Union Hall.

Gov. Josh Shapiro was among the hundreds who turned out at a Montgomery County community center Monday night to show support for Israel. Shapiro, who is Jewish, told the crowd Hamas terrorists and those who support them aren't interested in living in tranquility. "They do not seek lasting peace and they do not seek lasting compromise. Instead, they have launched an unprovoked and unjustified attack against Israel and its people," Shapiro said. The governor also told the crowd, “This is not a moment to retreat from who we are, but to be proud of who we are.”

The official cause of death for the seven workers killed in the March 24 explosion and building collapse at the R.M. Palmer Candy Co. in West Reading was released on Monday. The Berks County Coroner’s Office says six of the seven who died were killed by blast injuries and the seventh died from burns. All seven deaths are ruled accidental.
