A hit-and-run crash in Allentown Thursday morning has left one person dead. Allentown police say it happened at 7 o'clock Thursday morning at Union Boulevard and Jerome Street. An unidentified 85-year-old man was killed. Police have released no other information on the accident.

Fulton Bank will open a branch at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley in January, and a nearby branch will close. Fulton Bank's new office will take the place of the current branch in Lower Saucon Township.

The remains of a Monroe County man who disappeared in August 2012 have been found. Authorities say the remains of Stephen Lepore were recovered during a search of a property located at Peet Road in Dreher Township, Wayne County. Officials say he was shot in the head; his death has been ruled a homicide. While no arrests have been announced, Brian Hewson told investigators earlier this week that Lepore's remains could be found at the location. Eight years ago, an associate of Hewson's told investigators he had shot Lepore in the head after being requested to by Hewson. That person had been granted immunity for the interview.

The FDA has recalled a packaged chopped salad sold at Wegmans for listing ingredients incorrectly on the packaging. The recall for the Wegmans Organic Sweet Kale Chopped Salad Kit 8oz bag is due to the salad having incorrect condiment ingredients, failing to list egg as an ingredient. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to egg run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product. No illnesses nor allergic reactions have been reported to date. The recalled products were sold in bags from refrigerated display cases in the produce department with Best if Used By Date OCT 27, 2023.

The Democratic-controlled state Judiciary Committee has voted 14-11 in favor of House Bill 462. It will ban police from using chokeholds on suspects in making arrests as well as any other actions that inhibit breathing or the flow of blood to the brain. The panel voted to amend the bill on a motion that would require that municipal police departments to keep records on their use of force. The Pennsylvania State Police would coordinate this information and send an annual report to the committee.

A poll by Fairleigh Dickinson University shows most New Jerseyans surveyed, 70 percent, want Senator Bob Menendez to step down. The survey of New Jerseyans across all categories. Significantly, 71 percent of Hispanics say Menendez should resign and Menendez is a son of Cuban immigrants. A spokesperson for Menendez says the public will change its mind once all the facts are known. Menendez and his wife were indicted last month on charges alleging they accepted cash and gold bars from several New Jersey businessmen, one of whom has close ties to the Egyptian government.

Arizona scored in the bottom of the ninth inning to win game three of the National League Championship Series 2-1. The Phillies still lead the series 2-1 and will send Christopher Sanchez to the mount tonight. "He's been throwing the ball very well. I've got a lot of confidence in him. I don't know how far we're going to be able to go with him, but he's been pitching very well and throwing strikes. I have a lot of confidence in him," manager Rob Thomson says. Game four is tonight just after 8 o'clock.
