Here's what's trending for January 9.

Many areas of the Lehigh Valley picked up more than a half-foot of snow Saturday. Today into tomorrow morning, Accu-Weather's Joe Lundberg says those areas will get a lot of rain. "I think an average will be about two inches. There are going to be some places that get two-and-a-half or more and maybe some get one-and-a-half inch, but I think the average is about two inches and winds could gust to 40-to-50 miles per hour at the height of this storm today and tonight," Lundberg says. A flood watch begins today at 1 and continues through Wednesday afternoon. A wind advisory begins at 5 this afternoon and continues until 3am Wednesday. Lundberg says flooding is very likely.

After all the weekend snow, there's a lot of rain coming today into early tomorrow morning. There's a flood watch set to take effect this afternoon and Lehigh Valley special operations coordinator Kevin Krotzer says if your basement floods, be careful. "As soon as you start getting anything over an inch or two in your basement, you have to worry about anything in that basement energizing the water," Krotzer says. As for outdoor flooding, Krotzer reminds you that if you see water, don't drive into it and if you see a car already stuck in the water, don't assume that you can get through it when the other car couldn't turn around.

Bethlehem's Central Moravian Church has lost its senior pastor. Bishop Hopeton Clennon died Sunday afternoon, surrounded by family. Clennon was installed as senior pastor of Central Moravian Church back in January 2013. A statement from Central Moravian Church reads, “Our hearts are grieving for a pastor, a bishop, a friend and a person bigger than any words can describe him.” Bishop Hopeton Clennon was 63 years old.

The Phillies Winter Caravan returns to ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks on the night of January 18th. When it does, Phillies manager Rob Thomson, outfielder Brandon Marsh and pitcher Orion Kerkering are scheduled to appear. This is Marsh's second straight year on the Lehigh Valley leg of the caravan. The event is hosted by IronPigs Charities. Individual tickets are available for $100, and a pair of tickets can be purchased for $180.

A Pennsylvania man who died shortly after turning 110 has been laid to rest. Friends of Horace Baumer called him "Mo" and he is believed to have been the oldest man in Pennsylvania and the third oldest in the country. Baumer, who was buried late last week in Schuylkill Haven, retired as a millwright from Bethlehem Steel's Grace Mine in Morgantown. His working years also included service in the Army in World War Two. He had been retired 40 years at the time of his death in Pottsville. Those who knew Baumer attributed his longevity to his "spunky" personality and positive outlook.

One of the many things you can do at the Pennsylvania Farm Show this week is see how honey is produced for human consumption. Gary Carns, with the Bee Keepers Association of Harrisburg, says keeping the bees happy and healthy is absolutely essential. "Without the bees, we would have so much less of a food crop. A honey bee itself will polinate 80 percent of our food crop," Carns says.

Last year marked the lowest number of hunted bears harvested in Pennsylvania in a while. Officials with the Pennsylvania Game Commission say hunters took less than three-thousand bears in 2023 and that was the lowest total in 16 years. The 29-hundred and 19 bruins harvested was about 250 fewer than the year before. One state specialist says the lower number stems from restricting the areas where bears could be hunted due to overharvest concerns, having a shorter season and having more abundant natural food for the bears this year. When that happens, they can travel further away and not be found in the hunting areas as much.

As Monday night's Flyers-Penguins game was about to begin, the Flyers announced they had traded top prospect Cutter Gauthier to Anaheim in exchange for 21-year-old defenseman Jamie Drysdale and a second round pick in 2025. Team president Keith Jones tells says the reason for the surprising trade was simple. "If you don't want to be a Flyer, you're not going to be a Flyer. We were very pleased in the return that we got, a player that we coveted," Jones says. The Flyers say a trade has been in the works since last summer when Gauthier declined to attend Flyers rookie camp. Jones and general manager Danny Briere flew to Sweden to talk with Gauthier during the World Juniors Championship, but Gauthier reportedly declined to meet with them.
